DESCRIPTION:
Hindus observe two kinds of Ekadashi: yearly and monthly. Papankusha Ekadeshi is the Ekadeshi of Ashwin Shukla Paksha.
Devotees fast for a day. During this celebration, one should worship Padmanabha, the lotus-navel Lord Vishnu. By so doing, Hindus believe one achieves whatever pleasures one desires. Simply by offering humility to Lord Vishnu, the rider of Garuda, one can achieve the same merit gained by performing great sacrifices over time.
